Tasting notes
A generous, approachable Pommard from a high-lying walled vineyard. The nose shows vibrant red and dark fruits with a fresh, slightly minty lift. The palate is juicy and lively, with ripe fruit, fine, well-integrated tannins and good balance, leading to an elegant finish. Already charming in its youth, it pairs well with roast duck, lamb or mushroom dishes.
About the Winery
Château de Meursault is one of the most prestigious estates of the Côte de Beaune, with around 60 hectares of vines, including 23 hectares in Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. Its history reaches back to the 11th century, it was restored by André Boisseaux from 1973, and since 2012 it has been owned by Olivier Halley. The vineyards are certified organic from the 2022 vintage.
The Clos de la Platière, a walled vineyard high on the slopes of Pommard, joined the estate in 2018 when it took over vineyards formerly owned by the Prince de Mérode.
