Tasting notes
A classic, elegant Pessac-Léognan led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Expect dark berries, black cherry and violet with notes of fine oak, a polished, velvety texture and the freshness and gravelly minerality typical of the appellation. Complex and balanced, it pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef or game.
About the Winery
Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the great estates of Pessac-Léognan, south of Bordeaux, and one of only six properties classified in the Graves for both its red and white wines. Known as Domaine de la Gravière until the mid-19th century, it took its current name from the family of the Comte de Malartic.
Since 1997 it has been owned by the Bonnie family, who have invested heavily in precision farming, parcel-by-parcel vineyard management and a gravity-fed cellar. The estate holds High Environmental Value certification and produces complex, balanced and elegant wines.
