Grape
100% Pinot Noir
Tasting notes
An exquisitely defined bouquet of raspberry and wild strawberry with fine minerality, the whole bunches neatly woven in. The palate is lifted, fresh and supple, with a beautiful translucency of flavour and a real sense of both delicacy and depth. A refined, sophisticated Vosne-Romanée that will develop beautifully over many years. Lovely with roast duck, pigeon or veal.
About the Winery
Domaine de Montille is one of the most historic family estates of the Côte d'Or, founded in Volnay in the 18th century. Hubert de Montille made it one of Burgundy's reference domaines, and today his children Étienne and Alix run the estate, which is farmed biodynamically.
In 2005 Étienne de Montille, together with Domaine Dujac, acquired vineyards from Domaine Thomas, bringing the estate its holding in Aux Malconsorts. This celebrated Premier Cru lies right next to La Tâche and is often considered one of the finest of Vosne-Romanée.
