Caves de Tain l'Hermitage

Hermitage

The Domain

Uniqueness, in the Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray, and in particular in the Hermitage appellation estates (where the former property of Louis Gambert de Loche, the founder of the winery in 1933, has 22 hectares on the famous hillside!), the Cave de Tain fully plays its lead role and provides all its strength: the cultural practices it adopts with its own team of winegrowers serve as a showcase or sometimes even a “laboratory” for all winemakers. On its property in Hermitage, a unique, magical place nestled in the vineyards, the winery dreamt up  the most perfect display case for its wines: that was the vocation of Fief de Gambert, the former house of the Gambert family that was renovated in 2009.

The Style

With their five cru wines and their Collines Rhodaniennes (Rhodanian Hills) vineyards, as an extension of their multiple personalities, their winegrowers have the privilege of having a palette of terroirs, unique in their richness and diversity to choose from. They know how to express the best and their ambition was to be able to choose vinification "plot by plot". That has now been put into practice and around fifty plot selections are cherished in our wineries, when the vintage deserves it...: a prowess!
