Released after around 15 years on its lees, this late-release Collection bottling of the celebrated 2008 vintage shows the splendour of the Côte des Blancs with a glorious sparkle. The 2008 is pure, cool and restrained, with an elegant array of freshly baked bread, lemon oil, green apple, oyster shell and mandarin, now enriched by the depth and complexity of long ageing while keeping its freshness and brilliance. In magnum, a showpiece for celebrations; pair with caviar, lobster or fine seafood.
About the Winery
Founded in 1760, Champagne Delamotte is one of the oldest Champagne houses, based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Since 1988 it has been the sister house of the legendary Champagne Salon, and it is renowned for its pure, precise Blanc de Blancs.
The 2008 vintage marked a turning point for the house: for the first time, all six Grand Crus of the Côte des Blancs were included in its vintage Blanc de Blancs. The “Collection” wines are great vintages held back in the cellars for many years and released at their peak.
