Tasting notes
The best of "climat" Les Grèves. In the heart of Les Grèves, the area of this plot represents 3 days of work that a horse can achieve.
This wine charms with an open nose marked by fresh red fruit aromas subtly intertwined with hints of vanilla-scented oak. On the palate, it reveals natural elegance, with beautiful balance and remarkable finesse. The tannins, though present, are silky and delicate, leading to a harmonious and persistent finish.
More About The Winery
With 60 hectares of vines – including 23 hectares in Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations – Château de Meursault is one of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious estates. Its history dates back to the 11th century, and over the centuries it has passed through the hands of prominent Burgundy families, each leaving their mark.
In the 19th century, the Serre family expanded the estate and transformed the Château’s architecture, while later owners continued to develop its vineyards. In 1973, André Boisseaux, founder of the Kriter Group, restored the property with vision and passion. Since 2012, the estate has been under the stewardship of Olivier Halley, a dedicated wine lover deeply committed to Burgundy’s heritage.
Today, Château de Meursault produces wines that reflect the richness of its extraordinary terroirs, embodying finesse, depth, and the timeless grandeur of Burgundy.
