Tasting note
The nose emits a floral, mineral and lightly exotic bouquet. The wood is evident, integrated with aromas of white fleshed fruits. On the palate, roundness (thanks to lees ageing) and a balancing freshness carry the wine through to a long finish.
More About The Winery
Located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, Château Thieuley is a family-owned estate renowned for producing wines that combine authenticity, elegance, and excellent value. Founded in the 1950s by André Courselle, the estate truly flourished under the guidance of his son Francis Courselle, a pioneer who elevated Thieuley’s reputation to international acclaim. Today, his daughters, Marie and Sylvie Courselle, continue the legacy with passion and innovation.
The estate covers around 80 hectares of vineyards planted with a mix of Bordeaux’s classic grape varieties. Whites are crafted from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Sauvignon Gris, offering crisp freshness, floral aromatics, and minerality, while reds are produced from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, delivering supple fruit, balance, and structure.
Winemaking at Château Thieuley reflects a philosophy of precision and respect for terroir, with sustainable vineyard practices and careful vinification to highlight the purity of fruit. The result is a versatile collection of wines that are approachable in youth yet capable of ageing gracefully.
