Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris
Tasting notes
Ripe white fruit gives this 2024 a rounded, generous feel. The nose opens with quince and pear, while the palate shows red apple flavours lifted by fresh citrus, with a fragrant, perfumed touch from the Sauvignon Gris. Crisp, balanced and easy to enjoy young, it pairs well with seafood, grilled fish and light poultry dishes.
About the Winery
Château Thieuley is a family-owned estate in La Sauve, in the heart of Bordeaux's Entre-Deux-Mers. André Courselle bought the property in 1950, and from 1972 his son Francis Courselle grew it from a few hectares into a vineyard of around 80 hectares, earning Thieuley a reputation as one of the region's most reliable names for white Bordeaux.
Today, Francis' daughters Marie and Sylvie Courselle run the estate, with Marie leading the winemaking and Sylvie the business side. Their whites are built on Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris grown on clay, limestone and gravel soils, and the vineyard is farmed with sustainable, Terra Vitis-certified practices.
