Grape
100% Pinot Noir
Tasting notes
Aromas of rose petals, orange zest and tight-grained red berries, with an appealing minerality emerging with air. The palate is medium-bodied, lively and ethereal, delicate and floral with translucent fruit, finishing fresh and mouthwateringly saline. A classic, refined Chambolle that rewards a few years in the cellar. Lovely with roast duck, quail or mushroom dishes.
About the Winery
Domaine Bruno Clair is a family estate based in Marsannay-la-Côte and one of the most respected names in Burgundy, admired by fellow growers for wines of great purity that faithfully express each vineyard. Its holdings run from Marsannay through Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vosne-Romanée down to Savigny-lès-Beaune.
Les Véroilles is one of the highest vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny, a stony, south-east-facing hillside site around 325 metres up. Abandoned after phylloxera, it was replanted by Bruno Clair around 1990, and it produces tense, high-toned wines that keep all the charm and silky texture of Chambolle.
