100% Chardonnay
Tasting notes
Pale gold, with fresh aromas of citrus and white-fleshed fruit and an appealing touch of toasted bread. The palate is dense, precise and well structured, with a clear mineral line, and the finish is long and refreshing with a subtle salty edge. A refined Premier Cru that pairs beautifully with seafood, fish and mild cheeses.
About the Winery
Founded in 1750, Chanson Père & Fils is one of the oldest wine houses in Beaune, with its historic cellars inside the Bastion, a 15th-century tower that was once part of the town's fortifications. Owned by the Bollinger family since 1999, the house has focused on precise, terroir-driven wines from its own domaine vineyards in the Côte de Beaune.
Les Caradeux is a 1.9-hectare vineyard on the mid-slope of the Corton hill, right next to Corton-Charlemagne and sharing much of its soil and altitude. Its east-facing exposure gives the wine a fresh, mineral and distinctive character.
