Tasting notes

Having shone thanks to its great Crozes-Hermitage Syrah, the Graillot family is on its way with the Domaine de Fa to conquering Beaujolais! This delicious and tasty nectar is intense and balanced and unfolds throughout the tasting. The very fresh fruity aromas with a slight musky side will surprise you with their crisp flavour.

More About The Winery

Founded in 1985, Domaine Alain Graillot has become one of the most respected names in the Northern Rhône, particularly in the appellation of Crozes-Hermitage. Alain Graillot, a passionate vigneron who left a career in the chemical industry to pursue his love of wine, quickly built a reputation for producing Syrah wines of purity, freshness, and finesse, admired by sommeliers and collectors worldwide.

The estate’s vineyards lie on the alluvial plains of the Rhône River, with gravel, sand, and limestone soils that impart elegance and minerality to the wines. The domaine is renowned for its use of whole-cluster fermentation, native yeasts, and minimal intervention, resulting in wines that are vibrant, aromatic, and true to terroir.

Today, the domaine is run by Alain’s sons, Maxime and Antoine Graillot, who continue their father’s philosophy while refining the style. In addition to the benchmark Crozes-Hermitage Rouge, the domaine also produces highly regarded Crozes-Hermitage Blanc from Marsanne and Roussanne, and limited bottlings of Saint-Joseph and Cornas.
