Wine Region: Bordeaux - France
Grape: 98% Merlot, 2% Cabernet-franc
Tasting notes:A nose with dense notes of cherries, blackberries, and coffee. The palate is rich, warm, with great body and length, and silky tannins. Masterful, measured use of oak. An haute couture wine, in a modern style.

About the Winery:
The estate was bought in 2007 by Caroline and Loulou Mitjaville, after years of consulting on different properties around the world. They fell under the spell of "Chateau Cadet" which they then renamed L'Aurage. This 22-hectare estate is spread over a clay-limestone soil in the Côtes de Castillon appellation. Loulou works according to the family know-how and like Tertre-Roteboeuf and Roc de Cambes the grapes are picked at high maturity and the wines are aged in new barrels from Radoux. He sublimates the merlot, the grape variety of choice of the Mitjaville family, to produce great wines of Castillon.
