Grape
100% Gamay
Tasting notes
Ruby red, with a fresh, floral nose of cherry and red plum. The palate is light and crisp, showing spiced plum and raspberry with soft, lightly extracted tannins and a fresh, lively finish. A pure, easy-drinking and very appetising Fleurie that reflects the cooler, fresher style of the 2024 vintage. Lovely with roast chicken, duck or charcuterie.
About the Winery
Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot was founded in Fleurie in 2018 and has quickly become one of the most exciting names in Beaujolais. Before starting his own estate, Grégoire managed the vineyards of Maison Trénel, giving him a deep knowledge of the region's best sites. He then built up an outstanding collection of terroirs in Fleurie and Morgon, including Les Moriers, Clos de l'Amandier and Corcelette.
His approach focuses on organic farming, low intervention and parcel-by-parcel winemaking on the pink granite soils of Fleurie. Origines brings together fruit from several of his Fleurie parcels, including Les Roches and Les Garants, for a perfumed, elegant and approachable expression of the appellation.
