Tasting notes
Deep ruby red, with an expressive and complex nose. The palate is generous and round, showing red berry fruit framed by warm, rounded tannins. Structured and well balanced, it finishes with pleasant spice. A delight with red meat, game, duck and spicy dishes. Serve at 18 to 20°C.
About the Winery
Pont de Gassac comes from the family behind Mas de Daumas Gassac, the celebrated Languedoc estate founded by Aimé and Véronique Guibert in 1972 in the Gassac valley near Aniane. “Pont” means bridge, and this wine is designed as the link between the family’s Moulin de Gassac range and its Daumas Gassac crus.
The grapes come from the terroir of Villeveyrac, on limestone sandstone and marl slopes facing the Mediterranean, with vineyards farmed under the sustainable Terra Vitis certification. The wine is made with a traditional maceration of around 20 days and aged in stainless steel vats to keep the fruit pure and vibrant.
