Tiano & Nareno is one of the rarest names in Argentine wine. An ultra-limited, single-vineyard Malbec from Mendoza, it is released only in exceptional years. On Saturday 17 October, the man behind it, Ariel Savina, comes to our warehouse to pour the wine and tell its story in person.
A wine named for family
The project is named for Ariel's grandparents, Tiano and Nareno. That sense of family runs through everything about the wine: a single vineyard, a single variety and a commitment to bottling only when the vintage deserves it. The result is a Malbec that sits well apart from the ripe, easy style many drinkers associate with Mendoza, with the concentration and structure to age.
What to expect on Saturday
Ariel will pour Tiano & Nareno and talk through the project: the vineyards, the family story and the new 2022 vintage. It is an informal afternoon and the ideal opportunity to ask questions directly of the winemaker.
