Rhône Valley Wines

Stretching more than 200 kilometres from Vienne in the north to Avignon in the south, the Rhône Valley covers over 71,000 hectares and was home to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the first six appellations ever recognised in France, in 1936. The steep granite terraces of the Northern Rhône yield structured, age-worthy Syrah from Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, and Cornas, while the warmer south favours Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blends from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras.
