Tasting notes

Hailing from one of the world’s most revered terroirs for Chardonnay, this Puligny-Montrachet displays a pale gold hue with bright green reflections, a visual prelude to its finesse and precision.

The aerial, expressive nose opens with classic citrus notes, emblematic of the finest wines from this storied village. Layers of mango, fresh honey, and vanilla unfold gracefully, lifted by a delicate floral touch.

On the palate, the wine reveals a harmonious balance of ripe fruit and subtle woodiness. The oak aging brings refined notes of almond and roasted hazelnut, adding breadth and depth to its generous structure. The finish is pure and mineral, with a supple elegance that lingers beautifully.

More About The Winery

Château de Marsannay takes its name from the village it calls home, at the gateway to the Côte de Nuits. The estate owns 28 hectares of vineyards across the finest climats of the Marsannay appellation, with classification already requested for 13 of its plots.

Beyond its stronghold in Marsannay, the domaine also holds prestigious parcels in Burgundy’s greatest terroirs, including Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Bel-Air, Champeaux, and Vosne-Romanée En Orveaux. Château de Marsannay is also responsible for cultivating all the vines of the Hospices de Dijon across both Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.

Owned by Olivier Halley, a passionate advocate for Burgundy and a founding patron of the Climats de Bourgogne UNESCO World Heritage site (2015), Château de Marsannay embodies both tradition and modern vision. The wines reflect the diversity of Burgundy — from expressive Pinot Noir and elegant Chardonnay to terroirs of world-class pedigree.
