Burgundy Wines
A patchwork of over 1,240 classified vineyards, or climats, across roughly 29,500 hectares of the Côte d'Or and beyond, Burgundy has operated under its modern AOC framework since 1936 and counts 33 Grand Crus among its appellations — from the powerful, structured reds of the Côte de Nuits around Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée, to the great white Chardonnays of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru status reflect an unmatched precision in mapping soil and exposure to what ends up in the glass. Among the wines of Burgundy, you will find in particular Domaine des Lambrays, Domaine Bruno Clair, Domaine Samuel Billaud, Château de Marsannay, Domaine Chanson, and Maison Edouard Delaunay, and more at The Vintage Wine Club.
