Tasting notes
The 2019 vintage reveals a radiant bouquet of lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple, and delicate floral tones. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, carried by a fine mousse and vibrant acidity that emphasize its crisp, mineral-driven character. Extended lees aging adds a subtle richness and textural refinement, while the long, clean finish lingers with citrus and a touch of wet stone, perfectly expressing the Grand Cru terroir.
More About The Winery
Founded in 1894, Champagne Agrapart has become one of the finest grower estates in the Cote des Blancs. The current owner, Pascal Agrapart, has been making wines there since 1984. The 12 hectares of vines that make up the estate lie largely in the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry, and Oger. Pascal Agrapart works according to natural rhythms and sensibilities, without any chemical pesticides or herbicides. He always ferments his wines with indigenous yeasts, which he feels is crucial to the expression of terroir, and a portion of the wines are aged in old, 600-liter oak casks. The organic life of the soil assures the health and productivity of the vineyard.
