The 2022 Domaine Philippe Alliet Chinon Vieilles Vignes displays a deep red hue with violet reflections. The bouquet is expressive, marked by aromas of raspberries, cassis, and dark wild berries, nuanced with notes of licorice, spice, and delicate floral undertones. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet generous, with a seamless texture, fine-grained and powdery tannins, and remarkable balance. The concentration from old vines and meticulous ageing adds depth and complexity, leading to a long, persistent, and ethereal finish.
