Tasting notes
2013 was a vintage following the elite years of 2008 and 2012, a year that was touch and go in periods but made the it through the arduous selection criteria. A vintage that is finely detailed yet richly textured. Floral and intense with a slow rolling power that builds and builds. This is a a year that climaticly said no vintage wine would be produced, yet under adversity and with great care a wine of immense beauty has been sculpted, to set itself apart from the classic years and stand on its own, rich, glorious and powerful.

More About The Winery
Created in the early 20th century by Eugène-Aimé Salon, Champagne Salon is unlike any other. Produced from a single man’s vision, one Grand Cru village (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger), one grape variety (Chardonnay), and one vintage, Salon pioneered the concept of Blanc de Blancs Champagne and remains one of the most exclusive wines in the world.
Since the inaugural 1905 vintage, Salon has released only 41 vintages, each chosen from the finest years in the Côte des Blancs. This rare discipline has earned Salon its reputation as “Champagne’s most mystical and elusive wine”, prized by collectors and poured at legendary tables such as Maxim’s in Paris.
Today, Salon is part of the Laurent-Perrier group, with winemaking led by Michel Fauconnier and guided by Didier Depond, who also oversees its sister house, Delamotte. The house’s philosophy of purity, rarity, and long ageing ensures that each release is an event in itself — a Champagne of unparalleled finesse, minerality, and longevity.
