Wine Region: Rhone Valley - France
Grape: 38% syrah, 35% grenache noir, 25% mourvèdre, 1% cinsault, 1% divers
Tasting notes: This Château La Nerthe is harmonious and balanced! A lovely garnet red color with purple highlights. On the nose, a blend of ripe red fruits (cherry) and vegetal scents (licorice & anise). The palate is silky, the round, pulpy wine shows present but supple tannins with fruity accents (plum) and herbaceous notes (menthol) on the finish. Overall, it confirms a sunny vintage but without excess alcohol or dryness. On the contrary, it reveals a beautiful balance and a real freshness to be enjoyed in its youth or to wait ten years or more!

About the winery:
For five centuries, the history of Château La Nerthe and Châteauneuf-du-Pape have melded into one.
After leaving Châteauneuf-du-Pape, head south about 2 km, then go up the alley that winds between vines, evergreen oaks, cypresses, and olive trees to Château La Nerthe, nestled among majestic plane trees and hundred-year-old pines.
To the west, the Rhône as it continues its course towards the Mediterranean, less than 100km to the south. To the east is Mont Ventoux, the giant of Provence from the top of its 1912 m. To the south, Avignon city of the Popes. To the north, Orange, a Roman town with its ancient theater and Roman triumphal arch.
